How we collect, use, and protect your personal information

Plain English first: We collect your email address when you sign up for a free guide. We use it to send you the guide and helpful follow-up emails. We use affiliate links on this site, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy something — at no extra cost to you. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who We Are

Hormone Harmony HQ is an independent health information and affiliate marketing website run by Laura Ward (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Website: hormoneharmonyhq.health
Email: hello@hormoneharmonyhq.health

We are the data controller for personal information collected via this website. This means we are responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used, and for keeping it safe.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

Information you give us

  • Email address — when you sign up for a free guide or newsletter via any opt-in form on this site.
  • First name (optional) — if included in the opt-in form, to personalise emails.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referral source, browser type, and approximate location (country/region level only), collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • IP address — collected automatically by our web server and analytics provider. Not used to identify you personally.
  • Cookies — see the Cookies section below for full details.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health records, payment details, government IDs). Any health information you read on this site is general educational content — it is not stored against your name or email address.

3. How We Collect Your Data

  • Opt-in forms — when you download a free guide, your details are submitted to our secure automation system and stored in our email marketing platform (Brevo).
  • Cookies — placed automatically when you visit the site. See Section 7.
  • Affiliate link clicks — if you click an affiliate link, the merchant's platform (e.g. ClickBank) may set their own cookies. We do not receive your personal data from these clicks — only aggregate performance data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

We only process your personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so:

  • Consent — you give us consent when you submit an opt-in form to receive emails. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
  • Legitimate interests — we use analytics data to understand how the site is performing and improve it. We always balance this against your privacy rights.
  • Legal obligation — we may need to retain certain records to comply with UK law.

5. How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used to:

  • Send you the free guide you requested
  • Send a short follow-up email sequence related to the guide topic (typically 5–7 emails over a few weeks)
  • Send occasional newsletters and new content updates (if you remain subscribed)

We will never send you emails unrelated to women's health and hormone wellbeing. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Analytics data is used to:

  • Understand which content is most helpful
  • Improve site speed and user experience
  • Identify technical errors

6. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Products

This site contains affiliate links. If you click a link and purchase a product, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in and that are relevant to the topics we cover.

Affiliate platforms we work with include:

When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites. Please read their privacy policies before making a purchase.

Our full Affiliate Disclosure is available on a separate page.

Third-party / affiliate cookies

Affiliate links may place cookies from third-party platforms (e.g. ClickBank) to track referrals. These are governed by the respective platform's cookie policy.

You can control or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies. For more information: aboutcookies.org

8. Third-Party Service Providers
